BBQ Smoked Cream Cheese

Kick up the classic smoked cream cheese with barbecue sauce and crispy fried onions. It's the perfect blend of sweet and savory, cream and crunch!

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 Tb Pork Protocol BBQ rub
  • ½ c BBQ sauce warmed
  • ½ c crispy fried onions crunched up
  • 1 bag corn chip scoops

Instructions

  • Thoroughly coat the outside of the cream cheese brick with Pork Protocol or your favorite BBQ seasoning. Use a sharp knife to score the top of the brick with a diamond shape. Place seasoned cream cheese in a small cast iron pan.
  • Smoke the cream cheese for 2 hours at 225° over indirect heat.
  • After removing from the smoker, drizzle warmed BBQ sauce and crumble up crispy fried onions over the top. Serve immediately with corn chip or tortilla chip scoops.
