Grilled Corn

This is one of our favorite ways to prepare sweet corn on the cob. Cooking it on the grill gives it a beautiful char flavor that you just can’t achieve in a pot of boiling water.

When grilling corn do you leave the husk on?

Yes. Well sort of. What we like to do it partially peel back the husks without completely detaching them. Then we try to remove as much of the silk as possible before folding the husks back up over the corn.

Should you soak corn before grilling?

After removing the silk from the corn cobs, we like to place our corn in a sink of cold water for 20-30 minutes. The water the husks absorb will help to steam the corn while it’s on the grill.

What temp should you grill corn?

We grill our corn on a high heat for 10-15 minutes, rotating the cobs every 5 minutes or so.
